Initial/ Review Meeting

Process #1

#1 Initial Meeting

Our first meeting will usually take around 60 minutes. It is entirely at our expense, with no obligation to continue with our financial advise if you decide not to proceed further. This meeting will give you the opportunity to tell us about your aims and financial objectives, the things that are important to you and what you want from a financial adviser.

We will ask you for a brief overview of your personal situation and for details of your current financial arrangements, to establish whether we can be of service to you. If we believe we can deliver value for money, we will explain how we can help you and what we charge for our services.

Following our initial meeting, we will give you the time to decide if you want to use our services. If you choose to go ahead, we will move onto the next stage of data gathering.

Data Gathering

Process #2

#2 Data Gathering

We will need to gather as much information as possible about your current financial arrangements, personal circumstances, and your attitude to investment risk. This often will involve us contacting the providers of any existing plans, accounts and policies you may have to obtain up to date information, including valuations, benefits, terms and conditions.

This stage will usually involve a client meeting and we would advise allowing up to two hours to complete the necessary data gathering.

Research

Process #3

#3 Research

We will undertake detailed analysis of the information gathered to establish the suitability of your existing financial arrangements, identify any shortfalls in your plans, assess the investment performance and asset allocation, to confirm whether this is appropriate given your attitude to risk.

As part of this process, we will consider taxation and other implications before making alterations to your existing arrangements to ensure these are appropriate.

Financial Planning

Process #4

#4 Financial Planning

We will design a Financial Plan that is tailored to your specific requirements, financial objectives, and current situation. This will include our recommendations, based on the following factors:

  • All details discussed and agreed at the Initial Meeting
  • All information from the Data Gathering Meeting
  • Research that has been completed
  • Tax Planning efficiencies
  • Costs involved

Implementation

Process #5

#5 Implementation

We will provide a clear view of how effectively your current arrangements are leading you towards the financial goals and lifestyle you wish to achieve.

We will present our recommendations for making changes to your existing arrangements, designed to improve the probability of achieving your goals. We will also present our proposals for any new products that we recommend are considered to help achieve your financial objectives.

If you accept our recommendations, we will complete any application forms and arrange the new product from application to implementation including completing trust deeds and the investment of funds where appropriate

We will provide you with a report which confirms the recommendations given and includes details of any products being arranged. This is a useful reminder of what was discussed and why the recommendations were given.

Review

Process #6

#6 Review

The financial planning process is not a ‘one-off’ event. It is important that we review your Financial Plan at least annually. This review will aim to ensure that your plans stay on track and are still relevant following any changes in your personal circumstances.

If you have chosen to receive our on-going service, we will complete an annual performance review of your financial arrangements and will issue a report which will include any recommended changes.
